Schedule, track, and report on labor
From draft to paycheck, in one platform
Sam drafts your weekly schedule from your actual POS sales data and your labor budget. Managers review and adjust. Employees get notified instantly via SMS and push, clock in/out from mobile, and request swaps when life happens. Labor reporting closes the loop — scheduled vs actual hours, OT alerts, and labor as a percentage of sales.
Sam's Recommended Schedule
Sam analyzes the last 4 weeks of POS sales (plus same-week last year) and drafts a schedule that hits your labor target. Manager always reviews before publish — Sam never publishes for you.
Schedule Builder
Drag-and-drop builder with right-edge resize, copy-last-week in one click, and an Open Shifts row that lets employees claim shifts from mobile. Publish generates a crisp printable image and notifies every employee by push, text, and email (schedule image attached) — with one-click Resend to the whole team after a late change.
Two-Way SMS Confirmation
Every published schedule SMS asks employees to reply YES to confirm or NO if they have a conflict. The builder shows a live confirmation pill next to each name — confirmed, declined, awaiting reply, or queued.
Time Clock
Mobile GPS clock in / clock out with geofence warning when employees punch outside the store radius. Auto-links each punch to the right scheduled shift. Manager dashboard shows scheduled vs actual variance with one-click flag and edit.
Shift Swaps
Employees request a swap directly from the mobile schedule view. Target employee accepts, manager approves, both shifts swap atomically. Drop requests skip the swap step and return the shift to Open Shifts.
Labor Reporting
Pairs scheduled hours with actual punched hours and POS revenue. Variance, OT alerts (anyone over 40h), labor % of sales by week and per-employee. Excel export with three tabs (Summary, Weekly, Per-Employee).
Opening, closing, prep — done right, every shift
The manager log book, with photos and AI verification
Build per-store checklists for opening, mid-day, closing, prep, shift handover — anything your team does on a schedule. Managers run them on their phone, tap to complete each task, snap a photo when required. AI checks the photo actually shows what's claimed. Miss the window and it escalates to the regional director. Compliance, in plain English.
Per-store templates
Each store gets its own checklist for each daypart. Build once, deploy across stores. Schedule it for opening, closing, mid-day, or set a specific time window.
Photo-verified tasks
Mark any task as photo-required, photo-optional, or no-photo. Manager taps the box, camera opens, photo gets stripped of GPS metadata and uploaded — never leaves your S3.
AI photo verification
Optional: AI checks the photo actually shows what the task asks for. "Show clean grill" with a selfie? Flagged. Compliance-grade verdicts: pass / needs review / flagged. Cheaper than hiring a compliance person to inspect 4 stores.
Window reminders
Set a time window per checklist. Push notification fires at window-start telling the manager to begin. Nothing happens by window-end? It auto-marks the run as expired and pushes the regional director to take a look.
Audit trail with photos
Every completion stamped with who / when / store / photo / AI verdict. Health inspector asks how you handle allergen prep? Pull up the last 30 days in two clicks.
Skips with reasons
Sometimes a task genuinely shouldn't run today. Manager skips with a typed reason. Audit trail keeps both — what got done and what didn't, with explanations.

“I was building the schedule every Sunday night. Three hours minimum, and I still got it wrong half the time because I didn't know who called out the week before. Now Sam drafts it in about 40 seconds using our actual sales numbers, I make maybe two adjustments, and I'm done before my coffee gets cold.”
